SAMHSA’s Co-Occurring Center for Excellence (COCE) has worked with a range of State and Sub-State entities (Cities, Counties, large provider organizations, academic institutions, etc.) to develop or enhance clinical, service, and systems-level capacities to improve services for individuals with co-occurring disorders
The following categories of services are common areas of TA requests at both State and Sub-State audience levels:
Clinical capacity: Evaluation and monitoring; Evidence and consensus-based practices; workforce development and training; screening and assessment; and treatment planning.
Infrastructure: Information sharing; certification and licensure; financing mechanisms; services integration; and systems change.
Special populations: Children and adolescents; aging; HIV/AIDS; criminal justice; women; and ethnic and linguistic minorities.
